Denise is an artist, who also has Parkinson's disease (diagnosed in 2008). She majored in art at Furman University, class of 1973. She also audited classes in painting and sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University, the summer of 1972. She received the Mattie Hip Cunningham scholarship for excellence in creativity in the visual arts in 1972, her junior year.
Since then, she has done technical illustration professionally, freelance work, and has created weavings and cloth dolls in the past. Her art can be whimsical, romantic, emotional, timeless, and spiritual. Her art created before 2008, does not show the Parkinson's tremors she now has. She invites you to take a look and see what you think and feel.
Currently she has 10 self-published books in the Blurb.com bookstore having to do with her art, poetry, animals, and family. 5 of them are on Amazon.com. 8 of them are on iTunes (Apple iBookstore) in eBook format. Her Author's Page on Amazon.com is here:
