Hello and thank you for visiting today. I am an artist, who also has Parkinson's disease (diagnosed in 2008). I knew I wanted to be an artist of some kind since age 3. Why? Being an artist makes me feel the closest to God-Source-Universe out of anything I have ever known.

I majored in art at Furman University, Greenville, SC, class of 1973. I received the Mattie Hipp Cunningham scholarship for excellence in creativity in the visual arts my junior year 1972. Also I audited painting and sculpture at VCU in Richmond, VA during the summer of 1972.

I have worked professionally as a technical illustrator and freelanced doing paintings and drawings. I have created hand-woven items and sold them at craft fairs. I have created cloth dolls and stuffed animals and donated them to children at Christmas through toy drives locally.

I have created 10 self-published books through Blurb.com......featuring my art, poetry, animals and family. Five are on Amazon.com and eight are in the Apple iBookstore in eBook format. All 10 books can be found in the Blurb.com bookstore online. My Author's Page on Amazon.com is here (copy & paste):

Hello and thank you for visiting today. I enjoy doing portraits of animals and people. And I knew I wanted to be an artist of some kind since age 3. Why? This is what makes me feel the closest to God-Source-Universe out of anything I have ever known.

Since then, I have worked professionally as a technical illustrator and freelanced doing paintings and drawings. I have created hand-woven items and sold them at craft fairs. I have created 10 self-published books featuring my art, poetry and family through Blurb.com. Five are on Amazon.com and eight are in the Apple iBookstore in eBook format.

In 2008, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Being an artist is not a condition of the body. It is a condition of the Spirit.

I still do drawings and photographs currently to sell through FineArtAmerica.com and my own website: https://2-denise-fulmer.pixels.com/
